seared tuna steaks

Ingredients seared tuna steaks


1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
4 1/2 lb ahi or yellowfin steaks
2 tsp Peppercorns
2 tsp kosher salt (use less)
1/4 cup olive oil

how to make seared tuna steaks


Season tuna steaks with salt and cayenne pepper


Melt the butter with the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat


Cook the peppercorns until they soften and pop


Gently place the tuna steaks and cook to desired level


1.5 minutes per side for rare
