cheesy penne with broccoli

Ingredients cheesy penne with broccoli


8 oz uncooked penne pasta
5 cup broccoli florets (about 1 large head)
1 1/3 cup milk
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp cream cheese
1 tsp dijon mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
pinch nutmeg
2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

how to make cheesy penne with broccoli


Cook pasta. Add broccoli for last 3 minutes, drain, and set aside


Combine milk and flour in sauce pan over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Cook until slightly thickened about 5 minutes.


Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons parmesan and remaining ingredients. Stir until smooth


Toss cheese mixture with pasta and sprinkle with remaining parmesan. Enjoy!
